M & E Consultancy.
Earls Barton School.
Brief – New standalone expansion to the school, consisting a new carpark with EVCP facilities, five new classrooms and associated services.
Services Provided.
- Initial site surveys of existing services and required services, including NGO mains upgrade, expansion of ICT, fire alarm, security & cctv and telecoms.
- Planning documentation to external lighting and SBD.
- Internal and External lighting designs.
- Full services design for small power and data, lighting, solar PV, alarms, CCTV, access controls, containment, external services, EVCP and security systems.
- Working as part of the delivery and design team.
- Assignment and evaluation of specialists services and tenders.
- Relux for external lighting, Dialux for internal lighting, Trimble for circuit design, AutoCAD for 2D design.
- Monthly progress meetings & snagging meetings.
- Project delivered over 56 weeks. Build out within timescales.
Latimer 6th Form Building.
Brief – Formerly a social club, to repurpose this disused and dilapidated building to be re-purposed and refurbished as a 6th form building.
Services Provided.
- Initial site surveys of existing services and required services, including NGO mains upgrade, expansion of ICT network services.
- Internal and External lighting designs.
- Full services design for small power and data, lighting, PV, alarms, CCTV, access controls, containment and security.
- Working as part of the delivery and design team.
- Assignment and evaluation of specialists services and tenders.
- Relux for external lighting, Dialux for internal lighting, Trimble for circuit design, AutoCAD for 2D design.
- Progress meetings & snagging meetings.
- Project delivered in 4 weeks. Build out within timescales.
Exterior Lighting Design.
DP World - Distribution Park.
Brief – A complete report into future strategies to comply with strict E01 lighting guidance within a wildlife protected area. The industrial park surveyed comprises over 20 units up to 76,000 sqr ft and and port docking facilities.
Services Provided.
- Night time light overspill surveying and observation.
- Presentation of results in CG model.
- Environmental lighting impact assessments.
- Update to council design codes government masterplans.
- Adopted recommendations and changes to future building works within the development.
Secured By Design.
Secured By Design Reporting.
Brief – Secured By Design and Lighting Overspill Report for submission to the local Council Planning Department before redevelopment permission given for this HMO redevelopment .
Services Provided.
- Night time site observation and survey.
- Identification of areas subject to SBD.
- Creation of Relux Model showing light intrusion and areas subject to SBD.
- Presentation of data in relation to current legislation.
- Overview of technology and suppliers.
Daylight Reporting.
Natural Daylight Discharge Report.
Brief – Conversion of building to HMO, a basic daylight discharge report to local council.
Services Provided.
- Light pollution calculations to show daylight factors.
- Basic external factors.
- Mitigation statements.
- Compliance to BS8206 (Now BS13707)
Environmental Design.
Sensitive Environmental Design within Ancient Woodland.
Brief – Within an ancient Woodland a commercial development exists.
